The Children’s Ministry at Calvary Chapel Placerville serves our families by providing safe, Jesus-centered classes for children Preschool through Sixth Grade; there is also a Nursery for infants and toddlers. We have a mid-week program on Wednesdays from 7:00 – 8:30pm and Sunday School on Sundays during both services (8:30am to 10:00am & 10:30am to 12:00pm).
All of our classes are taught using Lifeway’s The Gospel Project Curriculum – a wonderful, three-year chronological study through the Bible with a focus on how Jesus is found all throughout Scripture. The curriculum incorporates engaging media with short lesson videos, memory verse songs with hand motions, and bi-monthly missionary videos.
We also have a number of other events throughout the year geared towards children: a Valentine’s Party (Parent’s Night Out!), a Family Movie Night, a Fundraiser BBQ, Vacation Bible School, a Harvest Fair, and a “Happy Birthday, Jesus” Party.
It is our fervent prayer that the children in this Body would be consistently pointed to Jesus through all that we do here in Children’s Ministry and built up in His Word so that they may stand strong in His truth.
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
(1 Timothy 4:12)
